Lacey Manicure
This is my very first piece & I thought I would start with something I really enjoy doing. Yes, Nail Art Manicure. I just adore nail art & I have been experimenting with various forms of nail art for years now (on & off of course). I remember my very first affair with nail art back when I was in school in 2002! As I started working, taking out time to play with make up got less & less possible. But now I have plenty of time to play again (lucky me!) & so am back to doing everything that I couldn't with a hectic schedule. Nail art is one of my long lost love rediscovered.
This is my first nail art in a very long time (can't remember when was the last time I had taken out time to create something beautiful for my nails). Yes, it takes time & patience but when you get to finally inspect your hard work in the mirror...& find your nails looking beautifully transformed....trust me, it really feels worth all the efforts at that point. The satisfaction is immense. Plus you get to show off your trendy nails at every possible excuse & end up becoming a hopeless showoff :P (hehe)

About this Nail Art : Inspiration & Creation
I was thinking of beautiful lace patterns. Intricate & delicate, which would have a soft feel to it. This manicure has a pretty pearly white translucent base. On top of it I have created floral art work with pure white fabric paint (yes you heard right) & finished of with a clear top coat for some smoothness. This stayed on my nails for a week, maybe it would have stayed more if I didn't take it off (but then, maybe I should also mention that I don't do any household chores). Go ahead & try this idea on you nails & do let me know how it comes out & oh! don't forget to send me pictures of your version of Lacey Manicure.
The manicure took me about 40 to 45 mins, so make sure you have enough time in hand. Then give another at least 30 mins for the manicure to set. You can use any nail polish of course. You can even try this in different colors. Like replace the pearl white with a pearl pink or lavender. Maybe replace the pure white with a pale dusty blue or you can even replace the clear top coat with a tinted one. Whatever feels good. Lastly, please do leave a feed back & share your opinion of what you think of my blog & ways in which I could improve. Thank you for taking out time to read.
Step by step direction & list of the Nail Polishes & Colors used for Lacey Manicure:
The base: Maybelline Colorama Perla (I used 3 coats of this as it's very translucent. Wait between each coat to let dry completely.)
The pattern: Fevicryl Acrylic Colors White 27 (This is where you would need the most patience. If needed you can dilute the color with a little bit of water, very little though. Use the color with a no.0 or a no.00 art brush. You can also use a pin point if you are not very comfortable with brush.)
