Tribal Trends
This is my second manicure post. Do let me know what you think of this one. Hope you like it. I call it the Tribal Trend Nail Art Manicure. This was done about a year back though...I just thought of posting it now. This is super fun to do & you don't even require any special artistic skills to do this one. This is super easy.
I did the pattern quite spontaneously but you can decide on the pattern from beforehand. Like save a picture of a tribal pattern you like, that you can paint on your nails. If you want to try it on your nails, please go ahead & do. But make sure you have at least an hour in hand if you decide to go for it. Setting the colors take time & the more time you give to set the colors, the longer it would last. This one stayed about 5 days on my nails & I could have made it last longer if I tried but I got tired of it so took it off. You can of course change any or all of the colors with your favorite colors. You can also skip the Acrylic Colors with Nail Art Nail Polishes which comes with narrow point brushes specially designed for Nail Arts. I use both. I used Nail Art brushes to apply the Acrylic colors on my nails. You can also use art brushes no.0 & no.00. Always finish off with a clear top coat if you are following this method firstly because otherwise it won't last & secondly because it lends a fresh gloss. Please let me know if you tried, I would love to know & feel very happy about it. Also feedback as to how I could improve as I am new to blogging. Thank you for taking out time to read. :)
Inspiration: I was definitely inspired by tribal art. There are so many beautiful patterns to choose from. Vivid & mostly geometrical with interesting color combinations. I love tribal art. I also love tribal art texturing on my fabrics which I do very often. I wanted to achieve bright & fun patterns on my nails with some not so tribal colors.
Products used & tips to achieve this manicure:
The Base: Inglot Nail Enamel 943 (yellow) (two coats, wait till completely dry)
The pink patterns: Fevicryl Acrylic Colors 18 (start with the lighter colors & gradually move to the darker colors, though not necessarily)
The green patterns: Fevicryl Acrylic Colors 16 (make sure each color is completely dry before you proceed to the next color)
The white patterns: Fevicryl Acrylic Colors 27 (the white is used only to high light bits & pieces & is not completely necessary)
The black patterns: Maybelline Colorama Black (reserve the black for the end & be extra careful with it)
The top coat: Maybelline Colorama Brillo (make sure your art work is completely dry before you apply the top coat or your art work would get horribly smudged)
